Verse Of The Month
Loved to Love – 1 John 4:19
“We love because He first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19
As women of faith, we often find ourselves juggling multiple roles—daughter, sister, mother, friend, worker, and so much more. It’s easy to get lost in the daily demands and forget the wellspring of love that sustains us.
This verse from 1 John reminds us of the foundation of our love: God’s love for us. We don’t love because we have it all together, or because we can always summon the strength. We love because God, in His infinite grace, has first loved us.
When life feels overwhelming or when relationships test your patience, remember that your love for others is a reflection of God’s boundless love for you. It’s not about mustering up the energy to love perfectly; it’s about resting in the truth that you are deeply, radically, and unconditionally loved by your Creator.
This month, let His love be the source of yours. Let it overflow, not out of obligation, but out of gratefulness for His unchanging affection. Whether in your closest relationships or your casual encounters, allow His love to be the light that guides you.
Prayer To Pray Over Yourself:
Lord, thank You for loving me first. Help me to reflect Your love to others, not out of my own strength, but out of the overflow of Your grace. Fill me with Your love so that I may love others with patience, kindness, and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
