Verse Of The Month

Loved to Love – 1 John 4:19

“We love because He first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19

As women of faith, we often find ourselves juggling multiple roles—daughter, sister, mother, friend, worker, and so much more. It’s easy to get lost in the daily demands and forget the wellspring of love that sustains us.

This verse from 1 John reminds us of the foundation of our love: God’s love for us. We don’t love because we have it all together, or because we can always summon the strength. We love because God, in His infinite grace, has first loved us.

When life feels overwhelming or when relationships test your patience, remember that your love for others is a reflection of God’s boundless love for you. It’s not about mustering up the energy to love perfectly; it’s about resting in the truth that you are deeply, radically, and unconditionally loved by your Creator.

This month, let His love be the source of yours. Let it overflow, not out of obligation, but out of gratefulness for His unchanging affection. Whether in your closest relationships or your casual encounters, allow His love to be the light that guides you.

Prayer To Pray Over Yourself:
Lord, thank You for loving me first. Help me to reflect Your love to others, not out of my own strength, but out of the overflow of Your grace. Fill me with Your love so that I may love others with patience, kindness, and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Chosen and Cherished – John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." – John 3:16

It’s easy to feel overlooked or forgotten, but John 3:16 reminds you that you are deeply loved and intentionally chosen. God didn’t send His Son because He had to—He sent Him because He wanted to. His love for you is personal and unwavering.

When doubts creep in or you feel like you’re not enough, remember this: God gave His most precious gift for you. Your value isn’t based on your performance—it’s rooted in His love. You are already enough in Him.

Rest in the truth that you are chosen and cherished. Let His love give you peace and confidence today.

Prayer To Pray Over Yourself:

Lord, thank You for loving me so much that You gave Your Son for me. Help me to rest in the truth that I am chosen and cherished. Let Your love give me peace and strength today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love: “Loving When It’s Hard”Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23 & 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.""Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."We all have that one person in our life—maybe a difficult coworker, a family member who constantly lets us down, or a friend who betrayed our trust. Loving others isn’t always easy, especially when they hurt us.Yet, love is the very essence of who God is. He doesn’t love us because we deserve it; He loves us because it’s His nature. 1 Corinthians 13 reminds us that love is patient, kind, and not self-seeking. It’s a choice we make every day, especially when it’s difficult.Loving others doesn’t mean ignoring boundaries or accepting toxic behavior, but it does mean responding with grace rather than resentment. Instead of waiting for someone to earn your love, choose to reflect Christ’s love, even in small ways—a kind word, a prayer, or choosing to forgive.Reflection:

  •  Who in my life is hardest to love? How can I show them Christ’s love today?
  • Do I struggle with loving people who can’t give me anything in return?

Prayer:Lord, give me a heart like Yours—one that loves even when it’s undeserved. Help me to extend grace, patience, and kindness, just as You do for me. Fill me with Your love so I can share it with others. Amen.

Joy: “Finding Joy When Life Feels Unfair” Scripture: Nehemiah 8:10 & Philippians 4:4 "Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!"You didn’t get the job. Your plans fell apart. Life threw you a curveball, and now, joy feels impossible. But here’s the truth: joy is not happiness. Happiness is tied to our circumstances; joy is anchored in Christ. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Paul, writingfrom prison, told believers to “rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4). How? Because hisjoy wasn’t in his situation—it was in his Savior.Joy is a choice. It means finding gratitude in small things, trusting that God is working behindthe scenes, and reminding yourself that this season is not the end of your story.Reflection:- Do I allow my circumstances to dictate my joy?- What’s one thing I can be grateful for today?Prayer:Lord, I may not understand why things are happening, but I choose to trust You. Fill me with Your joy, even in the waiting, the setbacks, and the disappointments. Help me to find joy in Your presence, not just in perfect circumstances. Amen.
